Getting the UT2003 installer to work...
The instructions for Linux miss this step:


export SETUP_CDROM=/mnt/cdrom


Just in case someone needs that Wink

...? never had to use that. Or actually, does that take care of the problem when having to switch disks?

That does work, but I've done it with and without doing that and it installed just fine. As far as switching disks, I found that I had to unmount them in the terminal, then hit eject. It *usually* mounts them ok once you put them back in.

I just copied the executable from the 3rd cd to my hd and ran it. the only thing that bugs me if everytime, it tries to access /dev/fd0 so i renamed it and it installed. It will install with fd0 there but will be slow as my grandma.

Ah, the beauty of devfs. You can just pull the wire out and the device node will disappear mwahahaha Very Happy
