One torrent is one downloaded from Linuxtracker (antiX-M7.2)
The other one is a torrent I created in transmission.
Should I create 2 new torrents?_________________ antiX

I think that would be best. I believe we are trying to get pure torrents from our members... something we can track ourselves. Otherwise we could just post a bunch of links everywhere.

I just uploaded a torrent I created in transmission, but it doesn't seem to work.
I've no idea why it is seen as external._________________ antiX

it's because of the tracker url... you need it to be http://linuxtorrents.org/announce.html
i don't believe you set this.

I am going to be out of town for like 2 weeks... I may look into getting transmission to seed the torrents while I'm away, but I can't guarantee it will be a major goal of mine. I will pop in of course, but I won't be able to do too much from a hotel room (unfortunately). And I don't really want to leave the client running while I'm not here to monitor as it would s**** away all the resources (and the wife wouldn't really know how to throttle it down) and that wouldn't be fair to others that might need the internet here while I'm gone.

I managed to get Arch installed and I was starting to give Puppy a go when my system got pretty hosed up. I killed Seamonkey and got it back enough to get it going, but I did not have all that much free space, so I am going to move my torrents and ISO images and hopefully get them back up --- and add more, later this week. Meanwhile, I am installing the REAL Debian from a business card sized ISO image. Great flexibility in the installer - you can use text mode, graphical mode, you can have it wipe out your disk or you can have it give you a guided tour. Extremely flexible installer. My one beef, and the reason I so often use Debian derivatives instead of plain Debian, is that the installer, as wonderfully flexible as it is, asks TOO many questions, one by one. If it grouped the questions on two to four screens, then just did the job, I would be delighted with it because it does have great flexibility. But as it is, I am glad Debian can be used as a rolling release because I get tired of the installation program! Anyway, when I get my new, shining Debian Sid up, I will make it available as often as I can as a Torrent box with plenty of ISO images. |
