Was gonna do the same thing, but luckilly I hit "preview" before posting it...and saw that it's not working how it's set up on the back end. Very Happy

And since I posted in the thread, might as well post my desktop. 1525 laptop:

If you're wondering, yes, that's the new Nissan 370Z. No chance I can afford it unfortunately, because it's AMAZING!!!

That 370Z must have the same hot engine that is in the new 2024 Maxima. The new Maxima is at leastfive years out of my budget, but I DO have a 2024 Nissan Maxima in a nice white, and even it is a pretty nice cruise for an old timer like me! Smile I'll leave the Z for guys like you! Wink

Yeah, I like it, but I keep downloading others, so I may start changing it every so often Wink ..... as a matter of fact, I wonder if there would be a way to make it do a slide-show (like screensavers do) so it would change every week, day, each time you turn on the computer, etc. That would be a cool tool Wink Would that be something you could do with a bash script?

ANYTHING is possible with a bit of code, whether in Bash, Perl, Python, or your favorite script tool! Wink

Might make an interesting little project.

Hey, nice feet! Wink

Thanks for sharing, both in the screen shot and in the fun!

Jester, KDE 4 is starting to look better and better. How is it running on FreeBSD-CURRENT? Ought to be getting pretty solid, especially if CURRENT snapshots the KDE 4.2 work that will be released soon. I've had some pretty good KDE 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 instances working for me with Mandriva 2024 and Kubuntu 8.10, but it has been nearly a month since I've last experimented with them. Even in the past month, things have continued to improve. I think 2024 will be the year that KDE redeems itself and people forget all of the complaining about it when KDE 4 first came out.

You prefer the dark backgrounds, huh Erie? I've enjoyed the scenery backgrounds that John and Anti have recently made available myself. Often, though, I put a picture of one of my children or a wildlife picture as my wallpaper background and keep the rest of the system with the defaults that are provided, unless I really dislike them. In the case of AntiX, I've always been pretty happy with what is provided, and I only personalize the background wallpaper, but frequently even leave that as is.

There are still a few glitches, especially in the rendering. I installed the nvidia-drivers because it was unusable without gfx acceleration, but then if I tried switching on much more than the default settings it would crash.

I may actually switch to gnome or another wm/de for a while - I think there's a ports freeze so unless I grab the latest kde4 from svn I'm stuck with what I have for a while.

Plus you have to remember that I am not at heart a KDE fan - the menu system on KDE4 drives me to distraction to be honest Smile
