just completed conversion of the ext3 / to ext4 on gentoo after updating the kernel to 2-6.28; it's openbox with conky, netwmpager and pypanel

Actually it's wbar. I never had much luck running AWN, I found it very unstable.

thanks for clarifying - I've heard of it but never actually used it; I've tried quite a few of the dock-type apps over the years - I still remember how much I enjoyed getting engage (standalone) working in gnome a few years back Smile

I used wbar on my antiX fluxbox desktop a while back. Very nice little dock.

I knew that I had seen it referenced somewhere and reading back through the Window Managers, I saw that I had asked you in the May post Embarassed

(don't ask - it's pushing daybreak here but I have to do the phone-call back to the family in 1hr:17 and 2hr:17...)

Real nice as art and as a pic, though it is too bright for my tastes as a wallpaper - I'd be inclined to cover it up unless I am in the mood to look at it for a minute or two. I just booted into openSUSE for the first time in a while, and that bright green is a bit much, too, at least in openSUSE 11.0.
