AcidRip 0.9

AcidRip is an automated frontend for MPlayer/Mencoder written in Perl,
using Gtk::Perl for a graphical interface. It makes encoding a DVD just
a one-button click!

Okay, after looking around, I found .12 and a newer version .14

http://sourceforge.net/projects/acidrip/
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/acidrip/acidrip-0.14.tar.gz?download

Should anyone be interested, the .12 version can be found here:

http://pkgsrc.netbsd.se/?cat=latest&pkg=39343

Oh, and the author is acid_kewpie who (usually) hangs out at that other massive linux site Wink

(I've really got to stop editing this post, I'm gonna induce dyslexia in poople)

But here's what's new:

Quote:
Hurrah, after a lengthy wait it's the new version!

The major addition of this release is that it now supports... wait for it.... file input!!! this means that as well as acidrip still being a great user friendly DVD ripper and encoder, you can now convert (virtually) any standard MPlayer readble file into a divx title, or any other format MPlayer can encode to! you can even scan entire directories for titles!

Audacity is an open source app for Windows AND Linux that will split the audio tracks up quite handily.

Forgot about that.
You can export tracks as mp3s also if you have libmp3lame installed.
Just cut the parts you don't want and save the rest as whatever track you want.
Or cut the part you do want then open a new window and paste it.
Then save that as whatever track you want.
Repeat.

Maybe an easier way but that should work.
