I've got an electronic drum kit and would love to record midi sequences with it. Does anyone know of a Linux application that would handle midi input?

Timidity Synth, I think....

On slackware 9.1, full install:
KDE Menu -> MultiMedia -> More Programs

LMK if you get it running - I'm nearly desperate for getting my keyboard running (I'm dense as iron).

By the way..... make sure you check out win-lin applications thread, I know I listed drum machines and sequencers and some midi stuff...

Thanks! It will be a while before I have the leisure to dig into it, but I'll let you know how it goes.

Heh - I just booted a live Linux CD called DyneBolic, it offered Trommler. Look around on that page for more goodies... at the bottom of the page.

Trommler and Hydrogen, both come with SuSe, both are drum patern programs. Trommler needs midi; IIRC, Hydrogen does not.
