What do you mean "Linux patches"? Linux binaries to run the games in Linux without Wine??
RtCW
All the quake games
The UT games
Uplink
Serious Sam
Is that what you mean?

Hey ThRoNkA - have you ever played any of the Need for Speed games? If you like that stuff.... try Torcs.

Mostly its old games that get ported if the software developers release the source.
Companies like id, Epic and Introversion are good about providing binaries for the new games - id normally provide it as a seperate download, Epic put it on the same cd with UT2003/UT2004.
Uplink had them both on the disk as well.
Games that depend on DirectX typically don't get released for Linux - that means no MOH, Halo (not that MS would port it anyway), GTA etc.
Also some developers just can't be bothered, like Valve - who won't port HL or HL2.
Some more:
NWN (I nearly forgot this was for windows too lol)
Just so you know, there's loads of good Linux games, I'm sure crouse won't mind me posting a link to another site:
www.happypenguin.org
has the most complete listing (with links, descriptions and screenshots) of linux games I've seen. It also has a forum where a number of developers hang out like the guy who wrote pingus etc.

I didn't like that one for some reason. It was rather buggy and the code was a mess so I didn't know how to go about fixing anything.
OpenRacer seems the one to watch if you like that sort of thing:

Should do. GLUT is an API on top of the openGL framework. Just provides some easier to use functions.
Just install it however you normally would. Most of it is calls to libGL etc so you shouldn't have a problem. Mir's box has a Radeon 9200 and works fine with glut.

It might be easier to install a binary for it if your distro provides one, otherwise you can get it here:
http://www.opengl.org/resources/libraries/
and fyi (in case you were wondering that too) you can get plib here:
http://plib.sourceforge.net/
