Ok, heres the thing. I was doing some googling and found the tutorial on how to install UT 2024 under Linux. Well, after installing the nVidia drivers and editing the XFree86 Config file (whatever that is, I forget the name at the moment), and installing the game, I go to run it in the terminal. I can get to the menus, setup my player, and change the controls just fine, but once it gets to the loading screen (after I hit play) it goes back to the desktop it gives me this error in the terminal:
Quote: | Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0" |
I heard there was a problem with ATI cards and this game in Linux, but I switched to the nVidia card before all of this and it get farther than with the other card before it gives me this error.
Any ideas?

That extension is in Xi Graphics X servers (a commercial brand - that's the XiG). It isn't provided with XF86. Not a problem. Could you post the log output ( ~/.ut2003/System/UT2003.log ) and the full stdout output as well? That would give us some useful information about the problem.
I'll just repeat myself; that error isn't the cause of the problem.
What distro and kernel are you running? Are you using the Nvidia drivers?

I'm running Fedora Core 1 (yarrow), 2.4 Kernel (I think. I know its 2.4 something). I did get the nVidia drivers installed (thanks Xeroid!), but I'm not sure if I got the OpenGL installed right or not and I'm fairly new to switching run levels and installing stuff like that, especially when it gives me an error. Here is the UT2003.log file. Its a fairly large one to post here, but I edited it to be more readable since I copied it from the other box to my windows box and it came out all garbled. For some reason it didnt want to view it.. :/
Where can I get the stdout output info?

Are you sure you have 3d acceleration working?
post the output of "glxinfo".
You don't need the whole output, just the following information:
1. OpenGL vendor string
2. OpenGL renderer string

ok, heres what it says
Quote: |
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce2 MX/AGP/3DNOW!

Oh, and glxgears works and shows 7763 frames in 5 seconds or 1552.600fps if that helps some.

Is the AGPgart module working?
(I'm not sure how to test this)
Is it built into the kernel or loaded as a module?
