helvetica fonts in mozilla

i was just curious. im running fedora core 1 and i know with 2 its the same. if i go to change the fonts in mozilla to helvetica they arent there. i use opera now because i actually CAN switch to adobe helvetica. why i dont know. is there a way to be able to switch to that font in mozilla without having to create a .font folder and adding the fonts there?

edit/preferences/appearance/fonts . . . adobe helvectica fonts aren't one of your choices? That's odd.

The only choice where I can't get helvectica is in the proportional fonts selection. BTW I'm running SuSE 9.1 Pro.
