I tried Kdevelop, it's very KDE/C++ orientated, i suppose more for people actaully developing applications FOR the KDE environment.
Quanta Plus i have tried also. Hated it. Would never touch it again. Didnt have the right "feel". Cant really explain it.
Never heard of the others.

I have used KDevelop and Qt3Designer, these seem very good. :)
I have a problem with the KDevelop documentation setup when using Mandrake 9.1 though. :?
I have tried to find answers, to the KDevelop/Mdk 9.1 problem but it seems that everybody has the problem, but no solution.

I missed your post, Helge.
Is the Mandrake documentation for KDevelop malfunctioning, or is it misleading?
Mandrake, like many other Linux distributions, likes to 'rearrange' file locations instead of following the developers default installation locations.
Thus, if you cannot locate the documents, Mandrake may be to blame and you would use slocate or find to locate the documents filename.
If the problem is that the documents are misleading, try visiting the KDevelop support site and ask if you have the correct documentation.
Wouldn't be the first time Mandrake included outdated docs.... for an example, check and see if the Mandrake documents for installing StarOffice still refers to StarOffice 3.0.... StarOffice has been above 5.1 since Mandrake 8.0 came out, and nobody cares to update the documents.
I hope this is helpful.

I'm going to be using Qtdesigner, and possible KDevelop very soon. I'll post my "review" of them, maybe.

I've tried Kdevelop/Quanta and we didn't get along. For most of my source files now, I use nedit (www.nedit.org) or vim. A nice IDE I've found for Java is netbeans. Much more on a par with MSVC than anything else I've seen.
