I speak french, and what I understood, is that your CD is not correctly setup in Wine.

check out your wine conf.

I also speak French, although probably not as well as DocZayus. Very Happy
When you installed Wine, did you run any other programs that will set up your Wine install?
Check out http://www.frankscorner.org and hopefully there's a program there you can download to set it up.

If not, maybe I can tar up my wine config stuff and and send it to you .

You need to run "wine <program>" btw.
Like
Code:
wine notepad.exe

It should probably be set up for you, but snoop around in your ~/.wine folder. (~ == your home folder, so /home/coastie/.wine/)
Yes, the . in .wine is significant.

use kwrite or kate or whatever other text editor you like.
vi works well, but I prefer the GUI tools.

Vi works better than well. Vi gives you the power to be efficient. Vi works at the command line. Once a few commands are learned Vi turns you into a mean config file editing machine.

VI is a must to know for those moments when you are stuck in a console mode for some reason. I use it mostly when I SSH to my work remotely and I want to edit a file quickly without sftp it just to edit it.

It's nice but...when I'm on my desktop, I prefer a GUI interface like Kate. Xemacs is cool too, but I kind of stay away from it on Suse since the latest version doesn't support UTF-8 character input from the keyboard, this means you can't write accented characters in SuSE. I found I can start it with the command "LANG=en_US xemacs" to avoid this, but It's anoying to always open a console just to start xemacs...

I would check your config for drive M. Smile
Do you have a /media/cdrom?

drive M is what your CD is called in wine.conf

modify that.

vi /home/*username*/.wine/wine.conf

should be somewhere or something like that.

is it safe to assume that drive m would be my master cd rom and not the slave?
