Hello,

I'm busy trying to find Linux alternatives for all my Windows software.

I'm running the programs "Music Collector" and "Movie Collector"
from " http://www.collectorz.com/ " under Windows.

In "Music Collector" you put an Audio CD in your CD-Rom
player, and the program searches the CDDB database on
the internet and stores the retrieved data in the database.

The "Movie Collector" does a similar thing, but searches
movie sites like the IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase).

Are there similar programs like the ones listed above running
under SuSE Linux Professional v9.1 ?
(I'm using KDE.)

I found "kmusicdb" and "gmmusic", but I'm just curious if there
are any more (easy to install, I'm a newbie....) programs like this. Smile

Who can help me ?
Thanks. Smile

Best regards,
Frits Jager

For this one use KsCD. It's part of KDE and should already be installed. It's a CD player that automatically queries the CDDB.

For this one have a look at Tellico. It will also do audio CDs. http://www.periapsis.org/tellico/

You're welcome. If they don't do the job for you let us know. I'm sure there are lots of other applications in those categories. Those were the first ones I thought of.
