Howdy all, Hope I can explain what I would like well enough to perhaps get some help with this. On my Windoze machine I used Winamp Pro and a recorder to listen to and record tracks to burn to CDs. Mostly used Shoutcast and Yahoos Launchcast thru their messenger. With Linux I have no idea what I need or how to set it up to accomplish this. If someone has the time to lay it out for me I'll give it my best shot to try and make it work. A BIG THANKS in advance.

Hi crouse, Thank You for the info concerning the recording of streaming audio. It's takin' a while for me to get back to you all as I was struggling mightily trying to understand the directions to get it up and running. There is a good side to this tho' I Did It!!!!. It seems to be doing ok with the exception of cutting off the last bit at the end of each download. I know it has something to do with setting the splitpoint but I haven't found anyway to do that yet, and even if I found a config file I don't think I would be wise enough to change it just yet Only my 1st week with Linux and it's a huge learning curve for me. Again many thanks.
Taz
