Welcome to USALUG redwingpuc!
WineX (Cedega) will probably be your best bet for this. Follow the link above. It seems to run well according to that page. Smile
Something like $5 a month isn't it?

Hi redwingpuc, I run WoW on Gentoo with about 3 times the average FPS I get in windows, it had a few bugs a few months ago but now nearly all of them are fixed. If runs almost flawlessly; there is a great HOWTO here http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-246098.html
The newest 1.4.0 patch, which introduced the PvP honor system, is a bit of a pain to get installed but all is explained in that link.

Oh, By the way what server do you play on?

EDIT: sorry I forgot to mention that I run it in cedega (http://www.transgaming.com/), but it can also be played with the free Cedega CVS, or plain old wine (http://www.winehq.com/)

I am surprised I never replied to this topic.
World of Warcraft had a Linux equal called Freecraft, but it is no longer called Freecraft.
FreeCraft is now replaced by Stratagus, a free cross-platform real-time strategy gaming engine.
Here is some screenshots.

The following should be a nearly complete list of the games that use the Stratagus engine, their current status, and a quick download link if available. Go to the corresponding website for more info or if you want to contribute.

All games must be run with their specified version of Stratagus, other versions will not work!

Wargus
Wargus uses the data from the warcraft CD's (DOS CD's only) and
has similar gameplay. This was the first data set used by stratagus.
Status: Playable, all features from the original game.

Activity: Complete, maintained by the Stratagus team.<br>
Download:Download page

Magnant
Magnant is a trading card game where players can collect and trade cards
that give them unique abilities. The game itself is a war game between
ants.
Status: Card trading is not functional. Game is functional.

Activity: Actively maintained.
Download:Please visit website.

Battle of Survival
BoS is an real-time strategy game set in the future. It has high-quality
graphics and sounds.
Status: Functional and expanding.

Activity: Actively maintained.
Download:Download page

Astroseries
A futuristic space game featuring an interstellar conflict between
several civilizations.
Status: Playable on 2.1 (Developers have had issues please report success).
Activity: Moderate.
Download: Yes

Battle for Mandicor
Battle for Mandicor is free real time strategy (RTS) game.
Status: Playable (Source contained in package)

Activity: Newly Released.
Download: Yes

You're thinking of a different game. World of Warcraft is a MMORPG rather than a RTS.
