Is there a Linux quicktime pluig for web browsers or some software that will allow me to view .mov content on a web site in my browser? Ok...well it appears I might be able to watch some movies and trailers...but in some instances I get either no video and I get the sound, and sometimes I get no sound but I get video...I am trying to watch the video on this site:
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/ (I get the sound and no vid with this one)

I am also trying to watch movie trailers at http://www.apple.com/trailers/ (I get video and no sound here though)

Mandriva 2024 LE
Opera 8

MPlayer opened and played both sites for me in Firefox.
edit-
The video on that page loads partialy and stalls. I can hear the sound though.
I had to click on the tv ad link and it opened in another window, and played ok.
Trailer asks what I want to open with.

hmmm...on the Apple site the trailers automatically open in Opera(and when I use Firefox they open in the trailer window as well with no sound) for me, I am not asked what to open them with...I can select the ads on the Star Wars site and open thm with mplayer, but there is the video that automatically loads when you go to that page that I canb not see the video on...I can only hear the sound.

Sorry, I meant the trailer on the Star Wars site.
Apple site works fine for me. I have both sound and video on the trailers.
Stars Wars site gives me the same problem as you are having.

Do you know what plugins you have installed for your browser?
