I need some good free gmaes to pass the time whilst compiling things etc...
The best i have found so far is cube (http://cube.sf.net) which is a kinda strangely doom-like fps. It runs very smoothly on my pc, despite me having pretty much no ram or a good video card.So any suggestions?

umm, you could get the classic doom/quake games on you computer. Ive already spent so much of my time just finding the secret levels in doom. Smile I even got it to run smoothly on a P150, so you shouldn't have any problem.

Strange, I never heard of that error. I have always had no problem with installation. Neutral

Americas Army and Castle Wolfenstein already mentioned. If you have UT, there is a free patch avaliable for it. Liquidwar is a pretty adictive game, although not quite up to the level as the other ones. Tuxracer will pass the time very quickly.

Can't think of others right now, although there are a ton of them.
