I'm trying to revive one of my old boxes to find out what users are on it. It is not connected to the Internet. I have forgotten the old passwords (and user name(s),) and haven't used it for about a year and a half. I have already changed the root password, so I'm into the box.

I'd like to know what command I need to use to find out what users are on the box.
I will then be able to change their passwords and log into their accounts to see if there is any data that I want to save. I just can't find the command for who all are users and what their usernames are Confused .

Or, in the alternative, is there a file somewhere that contains a list of the users? If so, then I can concatenate that file and see who all is listed.

TIA Confused Confused
