How do people create them?

I've got converting avis to DVD format, etcetera, sorted, and putting that on a dvd, but how do I make a menu to go with it so I can navigate between them in an easier way than having to manually select the title on the dvd player?

Ta for any help.

I use mandvd or kdedvdauthorwizard. I find dvdstyler and qdvdauthor too difficult.

Another application, which one can use to produce a DVD menu, is "todisc", which comes with "tovid":

Some sample screen shots:

Todisc man page:

I made a DVD menu earlier today with todisc, and I confess it turned out better than what I expected. Rather than use the command line, I used the "todiscgui" program.

Welcome oldcpu!

I'll have to try out todiscgui - sounds like a very easy-to-use tool.

In my view, todisc ts not a custom tool like qdvdauthor or dvdstyler, where for qdvdauthor and dvdstyler, I think one can precisely place every icon where they wish (for if todisc allows that, then I missed that feature). But todisc does allow one to create a pretty quick menu, where the menu looks reasonable.
