I have K12LTSP set up on a DG965RY in my server. My thin clients are all older Compaq Evo desktop which our school district has replaced and was going to discard. I tested K12LTSP using an EVO as my server and Evos as thin clinet and everything worked fine. So I have built 2 servers to implement in our elementary schools. My servers are:
DG965RY MB
Core 2 Duo
4GB
The only problem I am having is getting sound on my thinclients. When I run a sound test, the sound plays on the server speakers but not the thin client speakers. The sound card setection does detect a sound card. Am I right in assuming that since sound plays through the server that the sound card must be detected corecctly? There is a volume icon on my desktop but when I try to access it it says that I need to have gstreamer plugins and other devices.
