Finally upgraded Firefox (iceweasel)3 since rc2 now in SID

So found how to disable the awesomely annoying bar, found a couple themes for it, all my plugins that I use are supported...so I went ahead and upgraded. I have to say, it's much better than the last time I played around with 3.0 betas. Runs MUCH smoother on all my sidux machines than 2 did. Seems to have fewer problems with picture heavy pages than 2 had. So far stable. I'm pretty impressed.

On the whole iceweasel 3 works better than iceweasel 2 on antiX. Pity some extensions haven't made it across yet.

I also installed the latest opera 9.5 and on antiX it works faster than iceweasel, but I can't get the fonts to be as nice.

I haven't tried firefox 3 yet but I know what you mean about the fonts in opera 9.5, pretty ugly.

I abandoned Opera shortly after 9.0. I tried it out again when 9.5 was beta, but at that point, on the beta at least, I HATED it, and so have never tried it again. I may download the new version and see how it looks on sidux though.

You should give Firefox 3 a try now Germ...it's definitely made some useability improvements. And it's easy to disable the awesome bar (now)if it's as annoying to you as it was to me.
