Make sure you have lm-sensors set up and working.
Get gkrellm2.
Run it.
See what happens to your voltages when you're performing various activities.

To add to this, the procedure goes, as root in a terminal:
Install gkrellm, gkrellm-themes, and lm_sensors.
Then,
Say "yes" to all the questions. It will ask you to cut and paste some code. In most instances this is not necessary.
After you're through with this, reboot.
Then, pull up gkrellm and customize it to your liking, by right-clicking the upper right-hand corner and going to Configure.
From my own installation of lm_sensors3:
Quote: | * To use this package, you'll have to launch "sensors-detect" as root, and answer a few questions. There is no need to modify startup files as shown at the end, all will be done for you.
* A special note for via686a and i2c-viapro: if you don t see the values, you probably have a PCI conflict. It will be corrected in next kernel. Change the /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors to use i2c-isa + via686a (or i2c-viapro + another sensor) |
