I have no problems with this link - using Firefox on WinXP at the moment from my office laptop. Does not have a problem with an updated IE 6 either.
Perhaps there is some plugin you have that is messing things up? |

Just for fun, I checked too. About to post a reply - went to verify my version (sidux 2025-1 with no updates, Firefox 3 from massive download day). Immediately after going there, "configure ksim --> (looking to see if version was there) -->Close - caused the kpanel to crash. Haven't had to restart X for days now, but I did and checked to see if it's reproducible - nope. Went there, went back to ksim, configure, browse, close - no problems. No clues here. Doesn't happen at any other sites?
Good luck, and let us know if you find it!

No idea what may cause the issue. Good luck finding it and do let us know if you are successful in your hunt. Just for a variable to toss in, try installing iceape from synaptic in SimplyMEPIS and see if you get the same issue.
You said you tried it from Konqueror, right? Same issue?
If it fails in all browsers, then some other functionality that is common to your system that affects all browsers is a likely cause.
Then try another distro and use the same browsers and see if you see the issue. If not, then it is something you installed on that system, though not necessarily a distro thing. I will see if it happens on SimplyMEPIS 7.0 for me and I will let you know. |

Ok guys thnx again, I am narrowing it down, I thought to look in the firefox error console and got this> Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIStringBundle.GetStringFromName]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: XStringBundle :: getString :: line 17" data: no] as I suspected should be able to correct it now. Tried it in icesape and various browsers, but have been using the same plugins, I have a multi boot so I tried in the various others..no problem,

Working here in Seamonkey, if you call hanging and hanging and taking forever to load "working".
