Ok, so now that I have joined the 21st century and gotten a cell phone (sony eriksson w580i), I'd like to use ffmpeg to convert some of my movies to 3gp format.

I used this command

Code:
ffmpeg -i NOCONNW1.avi -s qcif -vcodec h263 -acodec mp3 -ac 1 -ar 8000 -r 25 -ab 32 -y /home/trey/NOCONNW1.3gp

I have no sound on the output.

any ideas?

I've always favored using mencoder.

Code:
mencoder -v Dear-Rosetta_V2-1-1.wmv -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=h263p:acodec=amr_nb -of lavf -o Dear-Rosetta_V2-1-1.3gp

I am missing a few deps so i cannot confirm that the above code snipit works, but i am ASSURED that it does....
