Man, I've been working on this forever. Anyways, I used make and it spit out this:
Code:
Compiling Banshee.Core.dll...
./Banshee.Collection/FileTrackInfo.cs(53,43): error CS0117: `TagLib.Tag' does not contain a definition for `JoinedAlbumArtists'
/usr/local/lib/mono/gac/taglib-sharp/2.0.0.0__db62eba44689b5b0/taglib-sharp.dll (Location of the symbol related to previous error)
Compilation failed: 1 error(s), 0 warnings
make[3]: *** [../../../bin/Banshee.Core.dll] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/admin/Tarball/banshee-1-1.2.1/src/Core/Banshee.Core'
make[2]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/admin/Tarball/banshee-1-1.2.1/src/Core'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/admin/Tarball/banshee-1-1.2.1/src'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

And I'm completely lost. What does it mean? Anyone more experienced (meaning practically everyone, lol) know what to do?

Doesn't Ubuntu have banshee in it's repos ???? Couldn't you install it that way vs trying to compile it from scratch ?

Yeah, but I need Ipod support. They only have the past version that is just a music player. If I didn't need the ipod support, I'd just use Rhythmbox Smile

Well, This is kind of embarrassing...

I didn't realize that I could manually move songs to my iPod via rhythmbox. dur.

You should be able to via Amarok, Rhythmbox, or Banshee either one. Banshee has changed somewhat from what I understand from when I last used it (several months ago).

Amarok and Rhythmbox both do the job with mp3 players on the whole (or should).
