|
|
I purchased a Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter and need some assistance in setting it up in SUSE Linux.
I have a dual-boot system and was able to install the software on the Windows side, and need to do the same for the Linux side as this device is not being recognized.
When I attempt to run the setup application from within SUSE Linux it requests that I select an application that can read the media.
Anyone know what I have to do to get the CD to install within SUSE Linux?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

2.) The chipset or model number from your Linksys?

The model for the wireless USB is WUSB600N.
Need more details?

Thanks jada, but now I have some additional questions, because I am new to Linux.
I've downloaded ndiswrapper (1.53) and saved it to my PC. What do I need to install these drivers? I don't see a readme file on how to go about installing.
Thanks

My experience with Linksys and their "so-called 'support'" .... with a Linksys wireless adapter, they told me to go pound sand ... they weren't interested in supporting Linux - My wife uses it now on her M$O$ desktop, but I'll wait until I can afford a Linux-friendly adapter - I'm not interested in buying and supporting products that don't support Open Source............ just my 2 centavos
