Wow, it's been a little while since I've had the time to do any scripting Surprised . Went to pull some vids off of the camcorder and realized that I haven't done this yet. .MOD files. I know that I can just rename the file extension to .mpg, but I'd like to just go ahead and make these files ready to go onto a dvd.

Things that I hope this script will do when I finish it:
1. Batch file conversion for DVD use.
2. Scan separate directories looking for .mod files.

I plan on starting tonight.

Not quite. Last week we had a tug boat sink, it had 15,000 gallons of diesel in it's tanks. Unfortunately it made the Comdt's brief. It went from, "Another tug boat has sunk", to "ANOTHER TUG BOAT HAS SUNK". If you get my drift. Needless to say I have been going on lots of helicopter rides, and paperwork, and being on scene. They are supposed to raise it today. Sad

Makes me wish that Errin would hurry up and go into labor. I'll be off work for 26 days once she goes into labor.

Here...that's just like driving down the street. The roads here are as bad as some of the worst logging roads I've ever been on before. I've seen naturally occurring potholes as much as 2 ft deep before anything is done about them.

Maybe when that baby comes you will have to change a few diapers, warm a few bottles, and fill in on the home front as Errin recouperates from the labor, but maybe somewhere in that mix you will be able to pull out the movies and images, and along the way, write some scripts to organize that media content.

After all, I anticipate that you will have a ton of new pictures and movies - of your family in action - is that not right? So hopefully you will be able to spare an hour in there to write a script or two so that you can proudly manage and display the latest on your family.

Blessings to you and yours as that day approaches!
