LinuxPlanet has some very interesting tips and shortcuts for effectively using the Bash shell. Many of them we have documented or discussed before, but there still manages to be a few handy tips in this article that are not frequently mentioned elsewhere, and though the commands themselves are well documented in the Bash manual, these tips can come in really handy.

I recommend taking a look at Tips and Tricks of Power Shell Users for some ideas. You may be able to take advantage of a few of them if you are a moderate user of the shell, and they will definitely come in handy if you are truly a power user now (though the top power users may already know most of them). Still a good read.
