I added a second monitor to one of my fedorda installs. I've configured the display through nvidia-settings and Xorg now sees it. However, when I log in, KDE4 still sees only a single display and doesn't allow me to use the second display. Only raw X works on it...I get a black screen with a cursor, that's it. No window manager or anything else. Under System Settings > Display, only my primary monitor is listed.

It's definitely KDE. I installed Gnome also and it works 90% fine across 2 monitors. The notification area will only work on Screen0, and a few other oddities, but it at least FUNCTIONS on 2 monitors. Pretty sad that after all this time, KDE4 still fails utterly at such as simple task as using multiple monitors.

Sorry I can't help with that - I run Gnome on F10.

a gnomeboy myself, but i have done some googling and find that you are not along and none of the threads i found on the subject had a solution that was other than downgrade to KDE3.5 or "upgrade" to gnome, lxde, blackbox, or some other DE/WM

Well, for now on Fedora10, I'm running gnome out of necessity. I'm not happy with it, but at least it works.
