Here's mine from my laptop. Ubuntu 8.10.

I'll post some more stuff later in the week when I get my Mepis and Antix installs updated.

Edited link . . .

Here's my test laptop. DreamLinux 3.5. I am surprisingly impressed with this considering the (to me) relative lack of impressiveness of previous DreamLinux versions.

No, nothing happens...
It is just a semi transparent wallpaper I created.
Changing the background color changes the color of the orb in the middle.
Inspired by some old movies 2024: A Space Odyssey and 2024: The Year We Make Contact.
HAL 9000, and also my need to make more semi-transparent wallpapers.
I ended up with a orb like looking lens with some abstract background.

aww.... it would be fun if you could get a speech synth running and have the computer say one of fourteen cool action phrases whenever you clicked the button!

but also probably more work than it is worth.

Maybe one of these days when i get really bored.....

I know it's no longer march, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread. Here's my newly installed calculate desktop. Yes, I'm still big on the minimalistic desktop look:
