Hey everyone just wanted to start off by mentioning that I am new.

Well a few weeks ago I installed Ubuntu 8.10 with some windows app that allows me to dual boot. Well something happened (think i caught a virus) to vista. Now I cant run vista so I am stuck using only Ubuntu. Well my question is How do I install and use Java in my browser.

My question is why did you signup under three different usernames?

I'm removing two of them...

I Googled for Firefox, when their page came up I looked for the add-ons menu, clicked on that, put java in the search box, and came up with these selections;

Clik Wink

Welcome to USALUG, best LUG on the planet!

BTW, I probably would have put the post in "Web Browsers & Email Clients" since it has to do with an add-on to Firefox (just for future reference) but then I could be wrong Wink

You're good at ignoring questions, too.

I didn't get his question? Ubuntu has Synaptic Package Manager, nice GUI, and easy to fine Java. Just one klick then Install and you are done.

Did you enable Java and Java-script in your browser preferences?
