Ok, I have 2 laptops that I've noticed something. Running the same version of Debian SID 64-bit KDE 4.2 with all updates and same packages the GM945 OpenGL works PERFECTLY for doing desktop effects. On the GM965, trying to enable desktop effects with OpenGL will fail giving an error. However, they will enable using xrender, which is, of course, HORRIBLY slow. Anyone else seen this before, or have any idea WHY OpenGL would fail on the 965 when it works so wonderfully on the 945?
