I've found several solutions for this. This is like using gobby, but without having to host the connection.

I really like http://squadedit.com -- free for one user...but it's cool.

Of the ones i've found, the ones i really like in order of preference:

http://etherpad.com/
http://collabedit.com/

google wave might have something like this, but i haven't tried it out yet.

These all sound like viable ways to share code. If we ever created a collaborative development project here, for instance, all of these make potentially good choices, though I'm with you; swuadedit looks particularly good for this purpose.

Gobby works great........ and better than any of these, especially when your running sobby on a server like I do..... BUT, that doesn't work if your behind a firewall Sad So I went looking for web based alternatives....... port 80 is rarely blocked Wink

Anyone know of any other "online" sites the quality of squadedit.com that are free ?
