Our client, a Open Source technology company in New York, NY, providing the technical tools and to enable their clients to understand and effectively communicate with their online customers, is seeking a Senior Systems administrator. The successful candidate will report directly to the CTO and split time between hands-on work and leading/mentoring a team of three systems administrators.
REQUIREMENTS
- Solid knowledge and experience in Linux, networking, SMTP, DNS, storage systems, Dell servers, security, monitoring.
- Perl, Shell.
- Open minded with open source and proprietary technologies
- Experience with highly scalable parallelized, large data volume installations.
- Work with developers to discuss hardware/software trade-offs, stream processing, and to address poor performance by changing program design/implementation.
- Degree in computer science, physics, math, bioengineering or similar education
SALARY: $140K+, Annual, plus bonus for the right candidate!
